Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5β10 pm. It is closed on Wednesday. Man oh man is this place awesome!!! I lived in Korea for 5 years, my husband is from Korea, so trust when I say this place does λμ§κ΅λ°₯ (pork soup) RIGHT!!!! So hearty and comforting on a cold and dreary day. The owners are a couple from Korea and the wife was so friendly and kind. I canβt wait to come back here with my husband when we visit SF again!

"Don't judge a book by its cover," but when it comes to restaurants, sometimes this is not the case.... The bright red "Michelin" sign in the front gives it away that there is something special here, on the edges of the Tenderloin. The food is the star here ... Traditional home cooking, Busan style.... Hearty, very flavorful, the kind of food that fills you up and leaves you with a big smile. The owners run the place, cooks the food, and serves it... Prices are very fair, considering the quality.... Don't let the neighborhood scare you away; the inside is what counts.

Would not recommend this place to non pork eaters. To be fair I probably should have looked at their menu beforehand, but I eat at korean restaurants often and never have trouble finding dishes I can eat. However, they only have 2 dishes that are non pork, and both are soups/noodle dishes. We ordered the Beef Short Rib Soup and the Kalguksu. I really liked the noodles in the Kalguksu, and really liked the Beef short rib in the soup. However, both soups were very simple and not that flavorful. Their other dishes looked good, but none could be made without pork. I wanted to order the kimchi pancake, but they said that pork is included in the batter so they could not accommodate us. I'm sure this place would be more delicious for other people, but as non pork eaters we just couldn't have many dishes. I'm used to most restaurants being very accommodating to this so it's just odd that they are very strict to this considering they are a michelin guide restaurant. We did not get a reservation, we called ahead and were able to get a table but had to wait 45min. The location is also not the best as it's deep in the tenderloin, and walking to the restaurant was very unsafe and unpleas

Good evening, Iβm visiting San Francisco, and after sightseeing, it started raining so I came back to the hotel early. I was wondering what to eat, and ended up ordering pork soup (dwaeji gukbap) on Uber Eats. Maybe because itβs close to my hotel, the delivery was super fast, and the soup arrived still hot, which I loved. The broth is rich and flavorful, and thereβs plenty of meatβseriously so delicious! Itβs perfect for a rainy day. Highly recommendβdefinitely a must-try spot!!!!! πππ

I saw this on the Michelin website as recommended. Food: Menu was limited, likely focused on their specialties. I ordered the pork bone soup and kimchi pancake. The soup was hot and flavorful. Quite filling. This soup is good as a full meal. It comes with a side of white rice so you should think it through if youβre getting another dish in addition. The fried kimchi was not memorable. The edges were a bit burnt. Probably ok as a street food, not so much as an appetizer. Drinks: the drinks were priced at city prices. Their makgeolli drink was exorbitant at $16 for a 750 ml plastic bottle. Not recommended. Service: It was a slow Monday night. The dinner crowd was thin so I got a lot of attention. The server was helpful and pleasant. Location and facilities: The restaurant was cozy with a modern vibe. The place was clean and youβre not overwhelmed by the odor of food or smoke from the cooking. Thatβs a plus. The staff were dressed professionally and looked quite competent. That said, this restaurant is in the heart of the tenderloin. The immediate perimeter did not exude sophistication and cleanliness, let alone a feeling of safety. I donβt recommend lingering in this area late at ni
